Dear Customer,
Once a customer, *always* a friend.
That's what we like to say at IX Web Hosting and that's what I stand for as the CEO. I see you as the reason why we're in business. We're not here to do web hosting. We're here to help you succeed online. That's my only goal.
In the coming months and years, you will see IX Web Hosting advance far beyond what traditional hosting companies help you do. Providing solid hosting will always remain at our hearts, but we'll add everything else we can think of to help you make your online presence an astounding success. And that's not just tools and features - it's teaching you how to succeed with us.
Just like how we became one of the Nation's Top 10 Hosting Companies in less than 4 years, we'll show you how you can do the same with your business, or your personal site. Leading IX Web Hosting on that path, we will make several significant improvements to our service in the near future.
The first of such improvements is the creation of our new Ecommerce Data Center in Columbus, Ohio.
For a while now, we've been placing all new customers directly into the Ohio facility, and things have been running great! In a few weeks, we'll finally be ready to move all of our existing customers to this new facility.
The New Ecommerce Data Center - What's in it for you?
In a nutshell, faster and better service - both for yourself and your website! The new data center is over ten times larger than our existing data center in Kentucky. You don't need to worry about the technicalities, but it's good to know anyway: you'll have a more modern, more redundant and more powerful infrastructure including generators, battery backups and air conditioning. You will be connected via multiple OC-48 fiber-optic lines. At a speed three times our old facility, your sites will be loading faster than ever.
We're scheduling to move your account to the new data center at the end of March or early April, so right around 6 weeks from now (if you signed up with us after November 15, 2007, your websites are most likely already at our new data center). The move will entail site unavailability for a period of 24 to 48 hours while we physically move the servers from one location to another. We are doing our best to minimize this timeframe.
You'll hear from me again in a few weeks with more information as to when exactly the move will happen and more info (and pictures!) on the new data center.
Until then!
Kind Regards,
