Updating cPanel services

How do I update my cPanel services?

- There are two ways you can update cPanel.

  • WHM (in browser) Home >> Software >> EasyApache (Apache Update)
  • command line (ssh to your Cloud server) and use the following command:

/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/easyapache

-When running the EasyApache update, it will give you an option of what version of Apache you wish to install. Once you select the appropriate version it will update  accordingly.

Important Note: cPanel recommends that you run EasyApache when the latest Apache build is available.

For more information please read this  EasyApache documentation

What is the difference between the EasyApache interfaces in the browser and the command line?

The difference between using your  browser and the command line, is the command line interface has more powerful functionality and flexibility. By running /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/easyapache in command line you can skip the configuration steps and build Apache immediately.

For information EasyApache interfaces and  command line please read cPanel’s EasyApache Profile documentation.
