In order to create a MSSQL database backup your first step will be to connect to your server via RDP. You’ll need the servers IP address, your admin username, and the password to login.
Find SQL Server Management Studio in the Start menu and right-click it so it can be run as administrator
Once the login screen has loaded you’ll see the following. The default settings are usually fine for logging in.
Navigate to the database you would like to backup, right-click on the database name, select Tasks then Back Up
You can adjust and settings on the following screen and backup location, if needed, then click the OK button to start creating the backup. There will be a confirmation when the backup it complete.
