Backup a Database
After logging into myLittleBackup, you will notice several options on the left hand side of your screen. To perform a backup you must first click on the Backup Databases options. This will open the right side of your screen with the required steps to create a backup:
1. Select the database that you want to back up backup.
2. The next step informs you about the size and when you last created a backup for this database. After you have reviewed this information click on the button labeled “Ok”.
3. After confirming the information you can now set a name for your backup and a brief description of the database. This is for a reference point only. You can specify the name of the backup set (maximum of 128 characters) and a free-form text to describe the backup set (maximum of 255 characters).
4. Click on the button labeled “Backup” and the process will begin. Once the process begins it may take several minutes before the backup is created. It is important that you do not close your browser or stop the process from continuing as this will cause the backup of your database to become incomplete.
You can download your backup file by clicking the link below. You can also download the backup file from the “Manage backup files” link in the navigation sidebar.
